Such a system run by the government makes sense if you want a large number of people to think in whatever way the government finds preferable.
Great article, Annie! More and more, without some sort of massive transformation on local levels, I see less and less hope for public schools. Fortunately, for many parents in America who can make it work, there are alternatives and numerous ways to give a child an excellent education.
