Lately, I have been tempted to lose hope in the midst of what seems like a never ending health situation with my wife...but this is a great reminder: “But God meant inform good...” - this is true even if what we are currently going through is bad.

It's beside the point, but just for the record, Joseph was not the youngest son of Jacob. It was his little brother Benjamin. Jacob thought he'd lost Joseph, which is why he was devastated at the thought of losing Benjamin too. They were both children of Rachel, whom he loved, and who died giving birth to Benjamin, if I remember correctly.
