Per Annie's quote above I'm with The Friends of Kiski Prep, a 501C3 nonprofit organization, that it looking to keep the oldest all boys school in the USA, just that-all BOYS! Clearly, we're not against co-ed schooling, however, in the words of or former headmaster, John A. Pidgeon, 'In the absence of a female audience, (boys) are more apt to give up posturing & role playing..." Data shows better outcome for both girls & boys in a single sex environment. I'll bet a bundle Annie would be on board with this theme, to preserve our Founding Fathers vision of American education.
I'm actually just working on a story about an all-boys school right now. I asked the boys if they thought the school was better without girls around. "Definitely!" was their response. I love the concept and obviously the boys do too!
WOW, I'd Love to know the school. If that's private I get it. We at Friends of Kiski Prep would love to coordinate with you and/or folks who believe single sex is best for both boys & girls. We're simply referencing the former headmaster John A. Pidgeon's positions, which we mirror. We have a Kiski alumnus Jon Barnes, Pittsburgh (pghreporter@gmail.com) an experienced media writer, who may be of help, or good coordinator for you in the all girls issue. Best of luck, Bruce Brown, FOKP:)
I enjoyed reading your column in the Epoch Times. Things needed saying and repeated in this current country of affairs.
